That is why it is so important to let certain things go. To release them. To cut loose. People need to understand that no one is playing marked cards; sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Don’t expect to get anything back, don’t expect recognition for your efforts, don’t expect your genius to be discovered or your love to be understood. Complete the circle. Not out of pride, inability, or arrogance, but simply because whatever it is no longer fits in your life. Close the door, change the record, clean the house, get rid of the dust. Stop being who you were and become who you are. -Paulo Coelho

I am so happy I read your words today.
I try and try to put the past behind some days I seem to actually gain on it
I will re-read your post over and over and surly it will begin to set in
Thanks
I think that is true for all of us. Letting go is difficult because it contains so many complex emotions. If our self-talk is directed to move on and let go it will make the journey easier.
Thank you.
I know this but I needed someone to remind me

I reblogged this because I needed it today. Maybe it speaks to you in some way.

Truly my take after nearly 7 months after the ordeal. Need to let go of having my eyes peeled on the old paths, to discover new fields, new journeys, new directions!
